The Artists

Born in the Ukraine and as a child resided in Caracas, Venezuela. In 1952 her family came to Canada and settled in Montreal. She now resides in Kirkland, Quebec, where she paints in her studio.

Took oil and watercolour courses at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, Stewart Hall and the YMCA. Although she has always been involved in various artistic projects, it was after she retired from Bell Canada that she rediscovered her passion for painting.

Initially experimenting with watercolour, she eventually chose oils as the suitable medium for expressing her artistic talent. She perfected her technique through various courses and workshops under the expert guidance of a well-know West Island artist, Tanya Akiuk.

Claudia’s paintings are representational in nature and cover a wide range of subjects with special interest in still life and flowers.

She has participated in various juried exhibitions since 1998 and is an active member of the Kirkland Artists Association and the Lake of Two Mountains Artists Association.

Her works are to be found in private collections throughout Canada, the United States and South America.
