|Nancy Overbury lives and works in Montreal, Quebec.
She has studied fine arts from her early teens and considers her most valuable art lessons learned while studying at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Nîmes, France.
Her sources of inspiration lie in the natural landscape of Southern Quebec and New England. She uses animals and scenery as metaphors and symbols to establish a link between the landscape’s reality and the emotion of its conceiver. She uses heavy layers of acrylic transluscent impasto to express dimension and movement in the paint.
Nancy has worked as a professional designer creating lines in the fashion and beauty industries for over 20 years.
She is a member of the Lakeshore Artists Association, Beaconsfield Artists Association. Her paintings are found in private and corporate collections in Canada and the U.S.A.
